The Zeal of Jesus Christ of Nazareth…

The Zeal of Jesus Christ of Nazareth…

Heb 1:7-14 ASV And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And His ministers a flame of fire: 8 but of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Thy hands: 11 They shall perish; but Thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But Thou art the same, And Thy years shall not fail. 13 But of which of the angels hath He said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make Thine enemies the footstool of Thy feet? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

Have you ever made a commitment to God? Yes or no? Have you ever been baptized? Yes or no? Have you ever repented of a bad thing? Yes or no? Jesus will judge us one day…even though now He provides a way for us to do right by God…Act 17:30-31 ASV The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now He commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent: 31 inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead…Do you believe Jesus died and was raised from the dead? Yes or no? Have you been baptized? Yes or no? Have you forgave others? Yes or no? You cannot be forgiven unless you forgave others for their wrong deeds against you…repent or perish…

Jesus’ Righteous Indignation…

Joh 2:13-17 ASV And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 and He made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables; 16 and to them that sold the doves He said, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise. 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for Thy House shall eat me up.

Jesus mission was to restore the house of Israel…He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel…He was concerned only for the descendants of Abraham…His very own family…Jesus found in the temple people more concerned for profit than for salvation and in righteous indignation made a spectacle of the money changers table being used for profit and not for atonement of sin….

Jesus the Hell-Fire and Brimstone preacher…

Luk 13:1-9 ASV Now there were some present at that very season who told Him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And He answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

You got 2 options…change or die…Jesus is a Hellfire and Brimstone preacher…or to quote Jesus…repent or perish too. This He said face to face with these Galileans…you think they were evil because of being a victim to a Roman who mingle human blood with animal sacrifices…then says what about the accident of the tower…was it an accident?...then Jesus elaborates or eases tensions with a story…or a parable a laying along side a higher spiritual truth with a physical story…

6 And He spake this parable; A certain Man had a fig tree planted in His vineyard; and He came seeking fruit thereon, and found none. 7 And He said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground? 8 And He answering saith unto Him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it (fertilize it): 9 and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, Thou shalt cut it down.

Jesus using real world events to teach…

Jesus tells the news of real life instance to those who perished when an accident happened…asking if it was just punishment or fate…telling them if they do not change and do what is right by God…then they to will end up dead one day and perish…Jesus knew it never hurts you to forgive and it never hurts you to obey God… Mic 2:7 ASV Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

The Parable explained…

Owner of the vineyard (Jehovah)…came looking for expected fruit…there was none. Pretend the Owner…as if talking to the trees…said I gave you everything you needed to produce good fruit for other people to benefit and you have none…Then you are useless…be cut down and a useful one be in your place…then the dresser (Jesus)…says let me teach it and do it one better then see if grows before we cut it down and call it useless…Repent or perish…Jesus has provide all you need to change and His will is for you to change your mind…your heart…your direction…to following Him the Truth…so you will never do an evil thing again…Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead so you could be forgiven and taught how to produce good righteous fruit before our Owner His Father…Jesus will reveal the truth to you and all you have to do is what is right with our Creator…the best any soul can do is what is right when the Truth is revealed and Jesus is not slack to perform His own word…

Jesus said…

Joh 8:31-32 ASV Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed Him, If ye abide in My word, then are ye truly My disciples; 32 and ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free…Mat 11:27-30 ASV All things have been delivered unto Me of my Father: and no one knows the Son, save the Father; neither doth any know the Father, save the Son, and He to whomsoever the Son wills to reveal him…also Jesus said…28 Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke (teaching of Truth) upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For My yoke (Teaching) is easy, and my burden is light…and also…Mat 28:18-20 ASV And Jesus came to them and spoke unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world… yet as it is written…Mar 16:15-16 ASV And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but He that disbelieves (does not believe the good news I died and was raised so you could be reconciled with God) shall be condemned.

Father please reveal the Truth of Your Son to us…so we can repent and not perish…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
