Text to be read…

Revelation 21:6 - And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 - He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 15:1 - And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 - And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Revelation 15:3 - And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. - Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Revelation 21:1-5 - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. - And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. - And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Introduction:

Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. You cannot get to Heaven by mistake. You have to decide to live your life according to Jesus of Nazareth's new agreement between God and mankind called the New Testament or New Covenant of Christ. Jesus of Nazareth is the God of gods and became born of a virgin, named Mary. Jesus, the only Fathered son of the God of Creation, who also known as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jesus the only Fathered Son of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob died a sinless death in the place of you and me. He lived under the law of good and evil taught to us by the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Jesus never choose evil and always choose good. He never violated the law of good and evil or the Old Jewish Law most people call the law of Moses. Jesus remained pure as unleavened bread and became a sacrifice like living bread to give life to all who have faith in His sinless sacrifice of His own human life, Jesus died on the cross and was raised the third day, the first day of the week. Jesus was and is the only human that has lived and never sinned and God was so pleased with His work of reconciliation, God gave Jesus a new agreement to mediate reconciliation with Himself the Creator of All for all of our ungodly ways. Do you believe that Jesus died and was raised three days later in order to make a way of reconciliation with God, a way of redemption, and a way of eternal salvation with our Creator? Yes or No?

Outline of Sermon:

I. Rev 15:2. we can overcome any form of evil (1 Cor 10:13)

2. We have hope and a way out of any temptation common to man (1 Cor 10:13)

a. As it is written: 1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

3. We have the promise of the holy Spirit praying for us a way of salvation (Rom 8:26)

a. As it is written: Romans 8:26 - Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

As it is written: Rev 14:13, “13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.”

III. Rev 21:1, for the faithful there is hope of never having to choose evil

a. Jesus says as it is written: “27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Conclusion:

We can overcome any form of evil, because we stand with the God of gods Jesus of Nazareth. I have been baptized into His life, death and resurrection and I have eternal life abiding in me thanks to His glorious work of redemption. To all those that know me I am a work in progress, I go to Jesus because I do not have it all figured out. I go to Jesus because I need help to live my life. I go to Jesus for comfort when the devil gets me down. We can overcome any form of temptation, after all…if you don't want what the devil or this world offers you then he will flee James 4:6.

No evil will enter into heaven, so be zealous for good works. If you hang around people doing good things then you will be more likely to do good things as well. Do you have a good work? In the parable of the talents Jesus said to feed, clothe the naked, visit the sick and imprisoned and to help strangers were the works his talents should be used for. Are you truly loving your neighbor as yourself? Remember love works no ill will towards its neighbor…

We believers have the hope and promise of never having to participate in evil or having to choose evil. Jesus promised us a light and easy yoke and rest for the soul. He is the captain and we just follow his lead through the darkness He is the light. Jesus of Nazareth is the author of salvation to all those that obey Him…Jesus Christ said these words… Mar 16:16 The one who believes and is baptized shall be saved, but the one who does not believe shall be condemned.

Father please free us from all forms of evil so we can learn the Truth and do what is right with You our Creator and Your only Son…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
