And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And He said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute. Act 22:8 KJV

Jesus said…

Joh 14:1 KJV  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me… Joh 3:16-17 KJV  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved…Heb 5:8-9 KJV  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  9  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him…

Luk 9:22-26 KJV  Saying, The Son of man (Jesus) must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.  23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  24  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.  25  For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?  26  For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels…

Joh 8:31-32 KJV  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;  32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free…

It is written in the New Agreement between God and Creation called the New Testament of Christ…

2Jn 1:9 KJV  Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son… Joh 14:15 KJV  If ye love me, keep my commandments…Mar 12:29-31 KJV  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these…

Mar 16:14-20 KJV  Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.  15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.  17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;  18  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.  20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Sin Leaves Scars…

Hebrews 6:1-6 KJV  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  (2)  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  (3)  And this will we do, if God permit…(4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,  (5)  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,  (6)  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

All of us have known or heard of people that were Christians that have decided to serve sin rather than God. When people reach a condition like that then it is totally up to them to decide to come back to God. We can try by saying and showing love for their souls but nothing we can do can make them return to God.

You know all of us have sinned and our sin is like a little girl who once had a bad temper. Her mother gave her a bag of nails and told her that every time she lost her temper, she had to hammer a nail into the back of the fence. By the end of the first day the girl had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as she learned to control her anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. It did not take her long to discover it was easier to hold her temper than to drive nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the girl didn't lose her temper at all. She told her mother about it and the mother suggested that the girl now pull out one nail for each day that she was able to hold her temper. The days passed and the young girl was finally able to tell her mother that all the nails were gone. The mother took her daughter by the hand and led her to the fence. She said, "You have done well, my daughter, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one." You can put a knife in a person and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say 'I'm sorry', the wound is still there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. You and I wound God emotional when we sin.

Have you ever thought that our sin makes God cry? This thought changed my whole walk with God years ago. I realized that God because we are made in His image has the same emotions that you and I have. When someone does me wrong or betrays me it hurts my feelings and when we do something wrong it hurts God and His feelings.

In this story the girl sinned by losing her temper, and those fits of anger put holes in the fence and the scars in the fence will always be there. You and I put nails into the hands and feet of Jesus each time we sin against Him. We are truly blessed to have a Savior willing to suffer for us so we can be forgiven of those sins. Will you make Jesus your savior today? Yes or no…Jesus said… Mar 16:16 KJV  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned…Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross and raose from the dead…Yes or no? Will you be baptized to obey the Author of Salvation…Jesus Christ? Yes or no… Heb 5:8-9 KJV  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  9  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Father please heal our sin scars in ourselves and others…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.

Sin Leaves Scars…

The world is a better place with you in it…

Mat 5:13-16 KJV  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  15  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

1Ti 6:6-11 KJV  But godliness with contentment is great gain.  7  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.  9  But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.  10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness (obedience).

Have you ever helped the needy…ever feed the hungry…ever gave clothes to someone else who needed them…ever give a drink of water to the thirsty…ever take in a stranger…ever pray for someone sick…visited those in prison…is the world a better place because you are in it and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ? Yes or no…

Mat 25:33-40 KJV  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  34  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  35  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  36  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.  37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?  38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?  39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?  40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me…

Mar 12:29-31 KJV  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:  30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these…

The world is a better place with you in it…go be the salt that preserves the world by the saving influence of Jesus…go be the light shining in your neighborhood treating other like yourself…you are a blessing…Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive…show mercy…offer forgiveness…do right…it is always right to do right and it is always wrong to do wrong…

Mat 12:48-50 KJV  But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?  49  And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!  50  For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Father please purify us and remove the seeds of the world so we can be true light and salt for You and Your Only Fathered Son Jesus…in Jesus of Nazareth’s name amen.
