Jesus of Nazareth was scourged for your sins and mine.
God’s righteousness must punish sin. That punishment is death. If you are in your sins, then you will suffer wrath of GOD. The good news is Jesus paid your debt, to set you free!
As a process of a love offering, a propitiation of sin, Jesus was scourged. Below is a diagram of how the Roman Soldiers would scourge a criminal. There was a man, named a Lictor. His job was to oversee soldiers administering the punishment and keep the criminal alive…The romans called a scourging the half-dead punishment, because it left the victim barely alive. Jesus endured such a cruel and harsh form of punishment, without sinning against God, for your sins and my sins…
Jesus of Nazareth was crucified on a cross called a tree…
Jesus after losing much blood during the scourging, was nailed to the cross through His hands and feet. Left to die in the Sun. Our sins suffocated Him, in the picture, Jesus would have to stand up un His feet and breath. Then He would slowly suffocate, until He stood up again for a good breath of air, this process repeated until Jesus gave up the Ghost. Jesus suffered cruelty for never sinning, in order so, you and I could never choose to do a wrong or evil thing again!
Jesus of Nazareth died on the cross and was raised three days later to the Glory of the Father, He overcame death, hell, Satan, and sin when He was raised from the dead. Jesus of Nazareth died so you will never have to choose a wrong thing and will teach you how to do the right thing. Jesus of Nazareth said, whoever hungers and thirst after righteousness will be filled, Mat 5:6. Meaning, when you want to do right, Jesus will fill your desire to do the right things by Him and His Father in Heaven.
Do you want to do the right thing and not the wrong thing? Yes or No?
Jesus said, except you become converted as a child you cannot enter into the kingdom of Heaven. A child in diapers cannot clean or feed himself, and neither can we clean ourselves from the wrong deeds we have done. Jesus died to clean us, and free us from ever doing evil or wrong things again. Is that not good news? When we come to Jesus, we never have to do a wrong thing again? When we come to Jesus, we must be like a child, asking daddy, can I? Daddy, may I? Daddy looks at what happened to me? Daddy, I need to be cleaned… etc.
Jesus said, if you follow Him, you will not hunger or thirst, listen: Joh 6:35 Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Jesus said, Mat 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (29) Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Do you want rest for your soul and a light and easy yoke? Yes or No?
Do you want to go to heaven? Yes or No?
Joh 8:31-32 Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, if ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples; (32) and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Will you read the New Agreement between God and mankind called the New Testament of Christ? Yes or No?
Will you take the yoke of Jesus upon you and allow Him to lead you into truth that will set you free from evil? Yes or No?
Jesus said, except a man is born of the water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5.
Will you be born of the water and the Spirit by being baptized into Christ? Yes or No?
Jesus said, Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieve shall be condemned.
If you do not believe Jesus died for you, to make a way for you to never choose wrong or evil, then you have no hope of heaven, however, if you do believe and are baptized you will be saved.
Do you want to be saved by being baptized into Christ today? Yes or No?
