Jesus of Nazareth said you CANNOT enter the Kingdom of God unless you…
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
A man must be born of the water and the Spirit, in fact we have to have the testimony of the blood (forgiveness), water (baptism), and the Spirit (God in us) (1 John 5:8). We have to surrender to baptism and render obedience like Jesus did with John the Baptist. John the Baptist preached a message of baptism of repentance for the remission of sins and to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Jesus needed no forgiveness, nor did He have to repent of anything. Yet, John the Baptist was a prophet from God sent to the Jewish people, to pave the way for Jesus’s message one must be born of the water and the Spirit. Anyway, Jesus did not need to repent or be forgiven, yet had to obey the message of the prophet John, because Jesus was a Jew and had to obey Jewish law. John said I need to be baptized of you, but Jesus said allow it to fulfill all righteousness. Meaning I know, I have no need of obeying the command to be forgiven or to repent, but if I do not obey the prophet’s message, I will sin. SO, although He needed no forgiveness nor repentance, He obeyed the prophets message out of shear obedience. Today, we must be baptized for the remission of sins even out of shear obedience (Acts 22:16).
Luk 18:17 Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.
Like a child in diapers cannot clean himself, neither can we. We are completely dependent on God our Shepherd for the basic necessities of life and health. We do not decide what Is true but must conduct ourselves in truth and spirit in all matters revealed. Just like a child says, Daddy, may I? Daddy, can I? Daddy, will you? Daddy look, what they did to me? Daddy, I hurt? So forth and so on, just as a child we depend on and learn to trust in Jesus of Nazareth being our only Shepherd and our only Supply. Therefore, I say Jesus meet our soul’s deepest needs, because we know not what is good for our own souls but You and Your Father and Spirit, in Jesus of Nazareth’s name Amen.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Many of the self-righteous think it is up to them to be God in motion, and love to be the authority or boss of matters concerning doctrine. Many quote the scripture and forget the heavier matters of God. I have always striven to major in the majors and minor in the minor things of God. When Jesus gave the parable of the talents, he ended the discourse with an end of time Judgement Scene, only the ones that feed Him, clothed Him, gave Him drink, and visited for Him while He was sick and or in prison were the ones who faithfully used their talents God gives everyman and was granted Life Eternal in Heaven. These are the talents God expects us to use, after Loving God first, the second greatest command is to love you neighbor as yourself. Let us be doers of Jesus word so we can be His hands and feet, let us never take our will over His. So, some people are the rock in the stream of water, ounce broken open they all dry inside, but wet on the outside. We got to let the Truth of Jesus permeate our core. We cannot trust anyone with our souls other than Jesus of Nazareth, He is the only True and Faithful qualified to atone and save from sin.
Luk 14:26-27 If any man cometh unto me, and hates not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. (27) Whosoever doth not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
What a tough saying, Jesus demands not to be in heart but to own and rule it. Jesus demands first place, and He will always do what is best for your soul. He job is to get us into Heaven not Harvard. Jesus will be our enough our everything we need nothing but Him for life and godliness. Jesus said if you believe in Him, you will never hunger or thirst. Jesus says if you seek first the kingdom of God, you will have enough. We cannot pay for the sin debts of our family and loved ones, we cannot even pay our own sin debt, we must abide faithful to Jesus alone, even if our mom or dads ask us to do something wrong. Let Jesus be our enough for our spiritual life (godliness) and physical life, Amen.
Father, please remove anything that hinders us from entering into the Kingdom of God and help us stay faithful this day, bring to memory any we need to reconcile to You and ourselves, we beg for mercy and forgiveness, and we forgive those who have sinned against us, in Jesus of Nazareth’s name Amen.
